The purpose of the Committee of Region and Forum Leaders is to: (a) represent the interests/concerns of the regions/forums; (b)communicate the work/actions of the Association to members of the regions/forums; (c) recommend policy to the Regions and/or the Board of Directors concerning regional and forum matters and (d) elect Regional Representatives to serve on the ASTE Board of Directors. 

The Committee of Region and Forum leaders shall consist of one representative (president/chair or designee) from each region and forum. Representatives must also be current members of the Association.  Representation is based on the governing procedures of the region/forum with a recommended term of three years. 

One new Region/Forum Representative each year shall begin service as a member of the Board of Directors.  As with the Operating Committees, a Region/Forum Representative is appointed by the President-Elect to serve as chair of the Committee of Region and Forum Leaders.  The Chair of the committee summarizes the Region/Forum reports for the Board of Directors.
